Yasma Coffee was born out of a deep connection to the rich traditions and flavors of the Middle East. During a winter trip to Beirut, our founder did what many do—stocked up on the essentials that remind them of home: spices, coffee, nuts, and sweets. As a proud Lebanese, these flavors are more than just tastes—they're memories, comfort, and a piece of heritage.

The Aroma Took Us Back Home

With a deep love for coffee, and owning machines that brew both espresso capsules and ground coffee, our founder purchased a traditional Lebanese coffee blend infused with cardamom during that trip. The vendor was asked to grind it to a medium consistency, perfect for use in a coffee machine back home. Upon returning to Canada, the coffee was brewed, and the aroma instantly transported our founder back to Lebanon. The flavor provided the connection to roots that was especially comforting during the cold Canadian winter.

Rise Of The Mazaj Blend

But it wasn’t just the founder who loved it—friends, many of whom also hail from the Middle East, were equally captivated by the taste. It reminded them of home, and they soon found themselves gathering over this unique blend, savoring every sip.

However, when searching for cardamom-infused coffee that could be brewed in a machine, there was a noticeable gap in the market. The only available option was finely ground coffee for traditional Turkish brewing, which didn’t suit modern coffee makers.

Determined to bring this authentic flavor to more people, our founder began developing what would become the first product: the Mazaj Blend. After months of experimenting and refining, a cardamom-infused Nespresso Original capsule was created, capturing the essence of Middle Eastern coffee culture.

A Blend Of Modernity & Tradition

But Yasma Coffee is just getting started. We are currently working on developing more blends and capsules that align with our mission to bring the rich, aromatic flavors of the Middle East to coffee lovers everywhere. Additionally, we've introduced a unique accessory inspired by the cups used by coffee street sellers in the Middle East, who are renowned for serving single or double espressos. This accessory reflects our brand's blend of modernity and tradition.

Yasma Coffee is named after our founder’s newborn daughter, a symbol of new beginnings and a commitment to sharing the warmth and tradition of our heritage with the world. With every cup, we aim to offer a taste of home, wherever you may be.
